Due to a bug in Photoshop, some PNG files are not saved with the assigned color profile (i.e., when the assigned profile is the same as the current working space). This event-based script assigns the sRGB profile to PNG files upon open (if they don't have an embedded profile).

Installation
- Download the script, and copy it into your "
Adobe Photoshop ####/Presets/Scripts/Event Scripts Only
" folder - Choose File » Scripts » Scripts Event Manager
- Select the Open Document event from the Photoshop Event drop-down
- Select PNG Assign sRGB.jsx from the Script drop-down
- Press the Add button
- Press the Done button
